Public Notice

for Advertisement for Sale and Intivation to Bid

Notice is herby given that the Okaloosa-Walton College Foundation acting in its capacity as the Direct Support Organization for Okaloosa-Walton College (F.S. 1004.70) and through Foundation’s Governing Board will receive sealed bids no later than 3:00 p.m. on Thursday May 15, 2008 for the sale of the real property and dwelling at 95 Poquito Road, Shalimar, FL 32579. Duplicate copies of the bids must be sealed in an envelope bearing on the outside the bidders name and address and bearing the words “Poquito Land Bid.” Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier’s check or certified check made payable to the OWC Foundation for not less than 5 (five) percent of the offer made. Bidders are solely responsible for ensuring that the bid is received by the OWC Foundation prior to the date and time specified and at the place specified. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the time and place stated below. Postmarks will not be honored.  Bids must be hand delivered or sent via U.S.  Mail or common carrier to the following address only:

The OWC Foundation has established a minimum bid of $784,000,000 and reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to negotiate terms and condition of the bid as necessary, and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or bid process. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 30 days after the date set for opening of the bids. Interested bidders will be given the opportunity to view the property and dwelling only on the dates of May 7, 2008 and May 10, 2008. The highest bidder will be expected to close within 30 days of the bid opening.
